LINKIN PARK Singer Hospitalized

June 3, 2003

LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital Friday, May 30 after suffering an attack of "severe back and abdominal pains."

Bennington remains hospitalized as doctors are determining the cause of his ailments.

A spokesperson for the band said, "All touring and video shoot plans in Europe have been put on hold this month as we make sure Chester fully recovers. We wish him the best and will keep everyone posted as to his condition."

Shows affected include a string of festival dates around Germany, Holland, Sweden and Norway, as well as gigs in the Czech Republic, France, Spain and Portugal. There's no word yet on when and which shows will be rescheduled.

At press time, LINKIN PARK are still expected to join the Summer Sanitarium Tour, which launches July 4.
