LINKIN PARK Singer Wants PROJEKT REVOLUTION Bands To 'Shine'
July 13, 2007Launch Radio Networks reports: LINKIN PARK will kick off its fourth Projekt Revolution tour in just under two weeks, on July 25 in Seattle. As the headliners, LINKIN PARK is entitled to the best sound, the most production and the longest set time, but singer Chester Bennington said that he wants all the acts on the bill to shine equally. "You know, we're really focusing on just allowing all the other bands to really put on whatever show they want to put on," he said. "You know, there's no restrictions on any of the groups, and, you know, we're just focusing on going out and doing what we do. And I feel that if everyone on the tour has the freedom to shine at their best and there's no limitations, then the fans will walk away completely satisfied."
The lineup for Projekt Revolution includes MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, H.I.M., PLACEBO, SAOSIN and others.
The tour will last for most of the summer's second half, wrapping up on September 3 in Denver.
Projekt Revolution will be an environmentally conscious "green" event, with one dollar from each ticket being donated to American Forests for their Global ReLeaf program to plant trees to help reduce global temperatures.
LINKIN PARK is supporting its recently released new album, "Minutes to Midnight".
