LORD: '100 Reasons' Video Released

June 17, 2010

"100 Reasons", the new video from Australian melodic metallers LORD, can be viewed below.

Commented LORD mainmain Lord Tim: "We had a lot of fun doing this clip, throwing food around the house, trying not to get busted by mall security and doing possibly some of the most ridiculous cheesy stage moves you'll ever see! Thankfully no one needed to wear the little gold hot pants this time; I still have nightmares about that!"

LORD's previous video, for the band's cover of KYLIE MINOGUE's "On A Night Like This", received over 20,000 views in under a week.

LORD will return to Japan in October for a run of shows with DORO and JADED HEART.

"100 Reasons" comes off the band's latest album, "Set In Stone", which was released in the band's home country in late August 2009 via Riot! Entertainment. The cover art was once again created by Felipe Machado Franco, who has previously worked with ICED EARTH, BLAZE BAYLEY and AXEL RUDI PELL, among others.

Lord Tim previously stated about the new CD, "Every artist says their new album will be their best work yet, but in this case rather than saying that, I would describe this as not necessarily better than our last album, but more so this is more true to what LORD is about; the definitive LORD album as it were. If I were to draw comparisons between LORD and DUNGEON [the band that spawned LORD when it disbanded in 2005], 'Ascendence' would be the equivalent of the 'Resurrection' album, and 'Set In Stone' would be the equivalent of 'A Rise To Power' — the album where most people would agree DUNGEON really hit its stride."

LORD was born from the ashes for DUNGEON, one of Australia's longest-running and most well-known metal bands until their dissolution in 2005. The band has gone on to tour with QUEENSRŸCHE, NIGHTWISH, SAXON, NEVERMORE, GAMMA RAY and more, and have released two albums — "A Personal Journey" and "Ascendence" — and an EP, "Hear No Evil", which contained a cover of the KYLIE MINOGUE song "On A Night Like This", which gained national mainstream Australian radio airplay.
