LORD BELIAL Announces 'New' Guitarist

September 19, 2006

Sweden's LORD BELIAL has been rejoined by guitarist Niclas "Pepa" Andersson following the departure of Hjalmar Nielsen earlier in the week.

"After the decision to look for a new guitarist was made, all of us in LORD BELIAL felt that we ought to ask Niclas 'Pepa' Andersson to rejoin LORD BELIAL after a few years of absence," reads a posting on the band's web site. "We asked and he immediately accepted so hereby we have the pleasure to welcome the old bastard Niclas to the ranks once more. Now we have the ranks filled with nothing but original members again!!"

As previously reported, LORD BELIAL will play at the Linköping Metal Massacre II on October 28 at Skylten in Linköping, Sweden.

LORD BELIAL's seventh full-length album, "Revelation", was recorded at Los Angered studio (owned by KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque) outside Gothenburg. A late 2006 release via Regain Records is expected.

LORD BELIAL's sixth full-length album, "Nocturnal Beast", was released last November via Regain . The follow-up to 2004's "The Seal of Belial" was recorded at Los Angered.

"The Seal of Belial" received its long-overdue U.S. release on September 20, 2005 via Candlelight Records USA.
