LORDI Take Part In London In-Store: Photos Available

June 13, 2006

Finnish Eurovision Song Contest winners LORDI took part in a signing session at the HMV store on Oxford Street in London, England on Monday, June 12. Check out pictures from Film Magic, Wire Image, LFI.

According to ESCToday.com, LORDI have placed at spot 25 in the official U.K. singles chart this week. Despite heightened media interest in the U.K. surrounding the heavy rock victory of LORDI at the Eurovision Song Contest, a mid-twenties placing is a little disappointing, though not unexpected, given the performance of previous recent Eurovision singles in the U.K. This year's Eurovision single performance in the U.K. is still an improvement on the last few years.

LORDI's album is also on sale in U.K. shops, and a top 40 single placing indicates that the band are in for at least some commercial success in Britain following their well-publicized win.
