LORDI Teams Up With UGO.com To Present 'Lordi HeroMachine'
February 4, 2009Finnish monster rockers LORDI have teamed up with premier lifestyle site UGO.com to bring fans the Lordi HeroMachine, a highly-detailed and fully-customizable interactive character-building game. According to a press release, "Legions of fans from around the world have already sworn their allegiance and now is your chance to join their ravenous chorus. Create your own character, male or female, and add gnarly spikes, studs, armor and what ever else you need for battle. The Lordi HeroMachine is here for your own wicked imagination to run wild."

LORDI's latest album, "Deadache", sold around 1,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 13 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
LORDI's previous studio album, "The Arockalypse", has sold more than 30,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was released in over 30 countries, including Japan, and the album was certified over triple platinum in the band's home country of Finland, gold in Germany (100,000 units),and gold in Sweden (40,000 units). The single "Hard Rock Hallelujah" achieved gold status in Germany (150,000 units).
LORDI launched "Deadache" with a special performance on October 31, 2008 at the 700-capacity Tavastia club in Helsinki, Finland. This was the first time LORDI played on the stage of what is said to be Finland's most famous rock club.
