LORDI Wins Big At Finland's EMMA GAALA Awards

Finnish metal monsters LORDI not only brought down the house with an explosive performance at tonight's (March 10) Emma Gaala (Finnish Grammy equivalent) but also won every category they were nominated for:

* Band of the Year
* Album of the Year ("The Arockalypse")
* Song of the Year ("Hard Rock Hallelujah")
* Producer of the Year (Jyrki Tuovinen)
* Top-Selling Album of the Year

The 21st Emma Gaala was held Saturday, March 10 at Helsinki's Kulttuuritalo. The public was able to vote for the best Finnish and foreign acts but the rest of the awards were handed out by a jury.

"The Arockalypse" will receive a March 20 North American release via The End Records.

LORDI's "monster invasion" will launch on April 20 in Anaheim, California at House of Blues and wrap with a two-night stint at the Bamboozle music festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 5 and 6.
