LUDICRA To Release New EP

January 23, 2006

Drummer Aesop of the San Francisco-based "post-black metal" band LUDICRA has posted the following update at the Earth-Dog.com message board:

"We are happy to announce that our own amazing Christy Cather [guitar, vocals] has moved from Santa Cruz to Oakland. John Cobbett [guitar] will be on tour as Jarboe's (ex-SWANS) guitarist for the next two weeks. LUDICRA has just booked their studio time for March with Justin Weis, who some of you might know as the genius behind the knobs on the last four SLOUGH FEG records. We will be doing five or more songs for an album to come out around fall, most likely through Alternative Tentacles. Immediately after, Ross [Sewage, bass] will be going to Europe with IMPALED as part of 'The Mensa Tour' which also features VILE and DEEDS OF FLESH. We have an EP coming very soon through Life Is Abuse Records that will feature three songs from the 'Another Great Love Song' sessions with Billy Anderson, and absolutely stunning artwork by local weirdo Eric Radey. We will be playing only one show before we hit the studio, it will be February 10th at On Six Gallery in [San Francisco] with AMBER ASYLUM and JARBOE. Hope to see you all there."

LUDICRA features current and former members of TALLOW, OMINUM, HAMMERS OF MISFORTUNE, SLOUGH FEG, HICKEY, IMPALED, MISSILE COMMAND and EXHUMED. The band's most recent full-length album, "Another Great Love Song", was produced by Billy Anderson and was released through Alternative Tentacles in September 2004.
