LUNA MORTIS Guitarist Touring With EPICUREAN
December 17, 2008Guitarist Brian Koenig of the Madison, Wisconsin-based, female-fronted five-piece LUNA MORTIS (formerly known as THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE) will hit the road with the Minneapolis-based symphonic metal band EPICUREAN for a month on the upcoming ROTTING CHRIST tour in January. Brian says: "I want to emphasize that I am NOT quitting LUNA MORTIS, but since our January schedule is lean, I'm taking the opportunity to help out a really cool band that is busting ass to make it happen just like we are. Cory [Scheider, LUNA MORTIS guitarist] will be subbing for me for some of my Studio B lessons as well. I am still on for playing Madpower on the 27th of this month, and then our good friend and awesome guitarist Shane Keck will be standing in for me during January. After that it will be back to business as usual."
LUNA MORTIS' debut album, "The Absence", is due in North America on February 10, 2009 via Century Media Records. The CD was tracked at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM).
LUNA MORTIS' video for the song "Anemic World" can be viewed below (note: The clip was shot while the band was still called THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE).
