LUPARA To Enter Studio In June

May 21, 2006

LUPARA, the Chicago-land extreme metal band formed by ex-BROKEN HOPE guitarist Jeremy Wagner, are currently finishing pre-production for their yet-to-be recorded debut album for Crash Music, Inc. Actual recording of the album will take place the first week of June. Wagner says, "The album should be out by fall. There are going to be around 12 total tracks for our first album. Each song is extremely ferocious…the capacity of the album is measured in power, heaviness, metal, and blood."

In addition to recording, LUPARA has lined up a few spring concerts and a summer mini-tour. The first show of the 2006 will be on May 27 — Memorial Day Weekend — at the Machine Shop in Flint, MI. LUPARA will be opening for SOIL. This concert marks the first time since the late '90s that ex-BROKEN HOPE bandmates Wagner and Shaun Glass (SOIL) have shared a stage. "It's a nice way to prime ourselves for our 2006 summer tour, which I'm really excited about," Wagner says. "I look forward to seeing old and new fans and friends out there. It's gonna be a blast! Our bros in SOIL gave us this opportunity to take a break from the recording studio and open for them on Memorial Day weekend…the time is nigh to FUCK SHIT UP!!!"
