LUPARA, the Illinois-based band led by ex-BROKEN HOPE guitarist Jeremy Wagner, has issued the following update:

"LUPARA has spent the first half of 2008 writing their second album and completing their new lineup. LUPARA plans to record 12 songs of pre-production at Mercenary Digital Studios this summer with producer/band-drummer Scott Creekmore. LUPARA expects to begin recording the actual album this fall. Also, LUPARA will make their 2008 live debut as direct support to SUFFOCATION on Saturday, July 19th at the Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. At that show, LUPARA will unveil their new lineup."

LUPARA's current lineup is:

Ryan Richards (ex-NO CONVICTION): Vocals
Jeremy Wagner: Guitars
Scott Creekmore: Drums
Tom Brandner: Guitars
Mike "Lurk" Ruehle (ex-FULL BLOWN CHAOS): Bass

LUPARA's self-titled debut album was released in 2006 via Crash Music. The CD was produced and mixed by Scott Creekmore at Mercenary Digital Studios and mastered by Trevor Sadler (NINE INCH NAILS, SOIL) at Mastermind Productions. SLIPKNOT guitarist Mick Thompson was featured in the group's first video for the track "No Pity On The Ants". The clip, which can be viewed below, was directed by Frankie Nasso of Raging Nation Films (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS).
