LYZANXIA: Re-Recorded Versions Of First Demo Tracks Posted Online

December 27, 2008

French metallers LYZANXIA have issued the following update:

"To celebrate LYZANXIA's 10-year anniversary, we decided to treat ourselves, our fans and our buddies to something really fun and special...brand new versions our four favorite songs from our very first demo, 'Lullaby'! The four songs that we picked for a special 2008 total makeover are 'Trepan', 'My Prisoner', 'Hurricane', and 'Slave Cross'. We just finished re-recording them and it feels so good to be able to offer them to you all with the sound that they deserve! And, of course, we had a blast and many fits of laughter re-arranging and re-listening to the original versions! The cringe factor was off the charts and it was so much fun to go back to those very early days and realize how much we have evolved in the past ten years! So here's to you guys. Thanks for all the good times and get ready for the next ten blasting years! Enjoy those four much more ballsy and heavy songs — vintage 2008 — on our MySpace page."

LYZANXIA's video for the song "Unsu" can be viewed below. The track is the title cut of the French metal band's third full-length album, "Unsu", which was released in September 2006 via Listenable Records. The clip was directed by Guillaume Pin, who also worked on videos for "Medulla Need" (LYZANXIA) and "Screams of Dying Dogs" (PHAZE I) and features a very special guest appearance by karate world champion Myriam Szkudlarek, who performs the actual Unsu kata, which the album and track take their name from.

The follow-up to 2004's "Mindcrimes", "Unsu" was recorded and mixed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden by Fredrik Nordström and Patrick J. Sten. The mastering was done by Peter In De Betou at Tailor Maid Studio. The album has 12 tracks and the cover artwork was designed by Alain Tréhard.
