May 23, 2012

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx will throw out the first pitch at this coming Sunday's (May 27) game between Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Sixx says, "Being from Los Angeles, this is a a huge honor for me." He adds, "The whole 'Sixx Sense' gang [Nikki's syndicated radio show], my kids and [girlfriend] Courtney [Bingham] are all going... Bad-ass!"

In the summer of 2009, Sixx and POISON frontman Bret Michaels were among the celebrities whose faces were seen on billboards around Los Angeles as part of the Los Angeles Dodgers' outdoor messaging campaign centered around the tagline "L.A. is my town." Other celebrities and movie characters who were featured in the campaign included Kim Kardashian, Oscar De La Hoya, Yoda (of "Star Wars"),Tara Lapinski (former figure skater) and Clout (local extreme sports pros).
