MÖTLEY CRÜE Drummer Featured In JACK'S MANNEQUIN Video

September 22, 2006

According to MTV.com, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee makes a cameo in JACK'S MANNEQUIN's video for "Dark Blue", directed by Brett Simon (THE KILLERS, NEW FOUND GLORY). The 1950s-set clip is inspired by the dance-contest movie "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"Lee played drums on the album, the side project from SOMETHING CORPORATE singer Andrew McMahon.

As previously reported, Lee's "Rock Star: Supernova" band (also featuring Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke and now vocalist Lukas Rossi) has been forced to amend its name to ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA in deference to a California band that already holds the rights to the SUPERNOVA name. Epic Records will release the band's debut LP on November 21, and two tracks — "It's All Love" and "Be Yourself & 5 Other Cliches" — are available for streaming at this location. ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA will launch a 28-city North American tour with THE PANIC CHANNEL (which features the show's co-host Dave Navarro) in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.
