MÖTLEY CRÜE Performs At Palladium Reopening; Video Available

November 17, 2008

MÖTLEY CRÜE returned to Sunset Blvd., the place where it all began 27 years ago, this past Friday, November 14 for a show at the newly renovated Hollywood Palladium. The band joined JAY-Z, GYM CLASS HEROES, THE ROOTS, JONAS BROTHERS, RISE AGAINST, MUDVAYNE, ONEREPUBLIC, BACKSTREET BOYS and others at the reopening of the legendary venue.

MÖTLEY CRÜE has revealed the dates and venues for its upcoming North American arena tour, which will begin on February 9 in San Diego and finish up on March 18 in Portland, Maine. The bill will also include HINDER, THEORY OF A DEADMAN and THE LAST VEGAS, winners of the first "Guitar Center On-Stage: Your Chance to Make Rock History" contest. Tickets for the road trip go on sale Friday (November 21) in most markets, with prices ranging from $25 to $75. This will be the CRÜE's first North American trek since this past summer's Crüe Fest package.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx told The Pulse of Radio that the band always has one goal whenever it goes onstage. "If we're the greatest we can be, that's exciting, and that's what I believe that Mick (Mars, guitar) and Tommy (Lee, drums) and Vince (Neil, vocals) all want too," he said. "They want to be the greatest rock band that MÖTLEY CRÜE can be. That's why we always try to come up with new, twisted versions of our production, and I think our shows are so potent and, I think, contagious. It's fun and it's horrifying all at the same time."

Many of the dates on the new tour will be in cities that Crüe Fest did not reach. Another edition of Crüe Fest is in the works for next summer.

MÖTLEY CRÜE is hitting the road in support of its latest studio album, "Saints of Los Angeles", which has sold 236,000 copies since coming out last June.

CRÜE's classic album "Dr. Feelgood" is now available in its entirety for Rock Band. The album is available now for Xbox 360, and October 16 for PS3. The complete download includes ten songs and will be available for $15.99 (1280 Microsoft Points) or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track.

Originally released on September 1, 1989, the CD, along with all of the band's studio albums, has just been re-released by Motley Records/Eleven Seven Music. "Dr. Feelgood" was recorded by all four original band members and is the band's highest-charting CD to date. It was the first album the band recorded after their quest for sobriety and rehabilitation in 1989 and the band has stated in various interviews that they view it as their most musically solid album due in no small part to their new sobriety. To date, "Dr. Feelgood" has sold more than 6 million copies in the U.S. alone.
