MÖTLEY CRÜE's NIKKI SIXX: It's 'Weird To Be Single'

August 7, 2006

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message in his online diary:

"Just back from San Francisco, Seattle, Aspen, New York City and Dallas (all in 5 days). Now, I leave on Tuesday for England, India, China and Japan (all in 7 days).

"Finished some amazing music with DJ [Ashba] ('Hero' and 'Worst Days of My Life') and DJ and Michael Blue ('Ugly' and 'Beautiful Death Angel'). Music is flowing — upheaval does that to you. We've been designing the set, lights and stage for the AEROSMITH-CRÜE tour plus going to court and family time — I'd say sleep is on the backburner.

"Weird to be single. Not really a 'go out kinda guy' so I'm just spending all my time with the kids. Summer is winding down and school is gearing up so I won't be too freaked about leaving for tour. Tommy [Lee] was tooooo kind to offer for me to fly back and forth with him on the jet while we're on tour and he finishes off his show ('Rock Star'). So I'll be seeing the kids a lot more than I usually do when I tour. I'll keep you in the loop.

P.S.: Any creative people out there? You really should get 'the artist way.' It opens all the doors.

Sixx's wife, Donna D'Errico, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on April 28, claiming irreconcilable differences. Sixx and D'Errico previously separated after four years of marriage, but D'Errico returned after Sixx spent some time in rehab.
