M3 Confirm TONY MARTIN's Departure, Seek Replacement

April 23, 2004

M3, the "classic WHITESNAKE" tribute band featuring Bernie Marsden (guitar, ex-WHITESNAKE),Micky Moody (guitar, ex-WHITESNAKE),Neil Murray (ex-WHITESNAKE, BLACK SABBATH),Jimmy Copley (drums, ex-PAUL RODGERS, GILLAN, BECK),and Mark Stanway (keyboards, ex-MAGNUM),have issued a statement confirming the departure of vocalist Tony Martin (ex-BLACK SABBATH) from the group's ranks.

Commented Marsden, guitarist and driving force behind the band: "Tony completed one year with the band and we all agreed it was time to part company. Tony brought a unique style and twist to the old WHITESNAKE songs but the whole format of M3 is based around a solid core, with the ability to mix and match complimentary musicians for the other parts. It's time for us to adopt another singer to breath new life into these songs. We want M3 to stay fresh and energised. We all want to wish Tony the best of luck, both with the 'Whole Lotta Metal' tour and any other projects he has lined up. We've been talking to possible replacements and will make an announcement very soon". Later this year, M3 will release "Volume 2" of the acclaimed "Classic Snake Live" CDs, also offering the product as a paid-for live download. "Volume 2" will contain some surprises and will reportedly be a "worthy" addition to "Volume 1".
