MACABRE Prepare New CD, "Unplugged" Side Project

February 18, 2002

Serial killer metallers MACABRE are preparing to enter the studio with producer Neil Kernon (i.e. CANNIBAL CORPSE, QUEENSRYCHE, NEVERMORE) to record their long-awaited new full-length CD, entitled Murder Metal. A continuation of the band's Sinister Slaughter album, Murder Metal is tentatively due to be released in late summer/early fall through Hammerheart Records. In related news, MACABRE will soon begin work on the debut album from MACABRE MINISTRELS (MACABRE unplugged),due later in the year. According to the Hammerheart Records web site, “in the early 1700s, traveling minstrels went from town to town, delivering word of savage murderers through songs. The MACABRE MINSTRELS have vowed to bring back this lost art form and will be entering the studio to record some tales of the evilness of man unto others. Imagine children's nursery rhymes and folk ballads played on acoustic guitars with distinct MACABRE flavoring.”
