MACHINE CALLED MAN Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Replacement
October 11, 2008MACHINE CALLED MAN, the San Francisco-based band which features in its ranks current and former members of IMAGIKA, JUNGLE ROT and TRAMONTANE, has parted ways with longtime bassist Alex Sheldon due to "personal reasons." According to the group, Alex "has decided to follow other non-metal musical paths and the band wishes him well with all his future endeavors." Replacing Sheldon in MACHINE CALLED MAN's current lineup is Elena Luciano. "[Elena] performed with our singer Norman Skinner for four years in IMAGIKA so she should be familiar to many of our fans," the band writes in a statement.
MACHINE CALLED MAN is completing the writing process for the follow-up to 2004's "2.004" for a 2009 release. According to the band, "The new songs are MUCH heavier and perhaps even a bit more progressive than the last CD."
