MACHINE HEAD: New Audio Interview With DAVE MCCLAIN Available
December 16, 2008Italian journalist Arianna Ascione recently conducted an interview with MACHINE HEAD drummer Dave McClain. Dave talks about politics, health issues in the band, the songwriting process and the group plan to stay out on the road until the end of 2009. (Note: The interview was recorded a few days before MACHINE HEAD cancelled the last two shows of its European tour with SLIPKNOT after guitarist Phil Demmel passed out on stage in Sheffield.)
The eight-minute interview can be streamed on Musica Metal (click on the green play button to launch audio).
A short video message for the users of Musica Metal from Dave McClain can be viewed below.
MACHINE HEAD bassist Adam Duce stated about the band's decision to cancel the last two shows of its European tour: "After considering the seriousness of Phil's health condition, we all feel that skipping these last two shows is the best thing to do. It's a bummer to end this tour like this after doing nine amazing weeks and three continents with SLIPKNOT, but getting Phil back to the States to get checked out is the most important thing right now. Our sincerest thanks to SLIPKNOT and CHILDREN OF BODOM for their support and understanding. We understand that it's a big disappointment to the fans, and Phil is very sorry about it, but we all feel that his health and safety is most important at this time."
MACHINE HEAD plans to resume touring Wednesday (December 17) in Los Angeles for the first of two METALLICA shows at The Forum.
