MACHINE HEAD's PHIL DEMMEL: Video Footage Of MUSIKMESSE Guitar Clinic

April 17, 2013

Guitarist Phil Demmel of San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD is in the middle of a European, Jackson-sponsored clinic tour. Video footage of his appearance at the Musikmesse Frankfurt 2013 fair, which took place April 10-13 in Frankfurt, Germany, can be seen below.

MACHINE HEAD last week celebrated the tenth anniversary of Demmel becoming an official member of the band.

Demmel joined MACHINE HEAD a decade after his previous band, VIO-LENCE, broke up; VIO-LENCE being the band that he and Rob Flynn, MACHINE HEAD's lead singer and guitarist, launched together as teenagers. Robb went on to form MACHINE HEAD in 1992 and Phil joined them in 2003.

MACHINE HEAD in February parted ways with bassist Adam Duce. The band's guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn explained in an online posting: "We may have fired Adam on [February 11], but Adam quit MACHINE HEAD well over a decade ago. He just never bothered to tell anyone… but we all knew it." A replacement bassist has not yet been announced.
