MADBALL Signs European Deal With NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

February 25, 2010

New York hardcore veterans MADBALL have inked a European deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band's new album is scheduled for release later in the year.

Commented MADBALL frontman Freddy Cricien: "I'm very proud to announce that we have signed with Nuclear Blast for Europe and its various territories.

"We are entering a new and very important chapter in our lives/career, and I know this is the right home for us in Europe... without a doubt! I feel that all the folks at Nuclear Blast genuinely understand and respect our history, longevity, legacy, etc. I also know they believe in our future, in what we still have to offer, which will manifest itself in our new album coming out this year! Not to mention, it is an honor and privilege to be labelmates with the legendary AGNOSTIC FRONT. We have not shared a label together since our first release on In Effect/Relativity in 1989. Not only are they family, literally, but they are also an inspiration to all of us in the hardcore world and beyond!

"Looking forward to a new year, new label, and new record! See you on tour!"

Added Nuclear Blast A&R representative Jaap Wagemaker: "Today it is with great honor to announce the signing of New York hardcore legends MADBALL to the Nuclear Blast roster. They started out as one of the most innovative bands of the scene, became one of the most influential ones and easily stood the test of time. Just like AGNOSTIC FRONT, MADBALL always were and ever will be nothing but a legend and an unstoppable force!

"We are excited and extremely proud to be working with and for Freddy and the boys in Europe!

"Be aware, the new album will strike — the knife will get deeper again!"

MADBALL's sixth album, "Infiltrate the System", came out August 21, 2007. The band shot the video for the title track on September 12, 2007 in the streets of New York City, and posted an open casting call on their web site to all of their fans, urging them to "wear what you would normally wear, be it a suit, work clothes, or a t-shirt and jeans."

Formed when Freddy Cricien was in his early teens, MADBALL has been one of the driving forces of hardcore in recent years delivering anthemic, touchstone albums such as "Demonstrate My Style" (1996) and "Set It Off" (1994).
