MALADAPTIVE Finish Recording New EP

July 18, 2005

MALADAPTIVE, the new band featuring former HEAVENLY members Frédéric Leclercq (guitar),Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (bass) and Maxence Pilo (drums),have finished recording their second EP, entitled "Manic Delusions". Audio samples of the tracks "Be Your Own God", "Steppin' out of the Ashes" and a full-length MP3 download of the song "Manic Delusions" are available in the "Media" section of the band's official web site. A release date for the EP has yet to be announced.

MALADAPTIVE's self-titled debut CD — featuring the tracks "Maladaptive", "Burn the Witches", "Monster" and "Traitor" — was mixed in part by Joey Vera (ANTHRAX, FATES WARNING, ARMORED SAINT). The band, who describe their sound as "intricate thrash guitar riffs, strong and intense drums and bass playing, and a variation of harsh and clean vocals delivered by Frederic Leclercq," changed their musical approach after they became disillusioned with their previous group's sound. Commented Pélisson: "Fred never really liked this style (Euro speed/melodic metal) in the first place and while I liked this style, I grew tired of it, and came back to my original love (heavy metal, thrash metal) and discovered more death and black metal."

In other news, Leclercq recently recorded a guest appearance on the new CARNIVAL IN COAL CD, "Collection Prestige". A video clip of Frédéric's "funny" recording session can be found at this location (Windows Media).
