MALEVOLENT CREATION Pulls Out Of CENTRAL ILLINOIS METALFEST

July 3, 2008

Long-running Florida-bsed extreme metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION have cancelled their participation in this year's Central Illinois Metalfest, set to take place July 18-20 at The Canopy Club in Urbana, Illinois. As a result, MONSTROSITY will now headline again on Friday, July 18 and MISERY INDEX will fill the co-headlining slot. Other new additions to the festival include ESTUARY from Ohio and DEADNIGHT from Illinois.

Poland's Metal Mind Productions recently re-released MALEVOLENT CREATION's "Eternal" (1996),"In Cold Blood" (1997),"The Fine Art of Murder" (1998) and "Manifestation" (a compilation from 2000) albums in Europe only. Each limited-edition digipack title (limited to 2,000 copies) was made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology. "Eternal" also contains two bonus tracks: "Remnants of Withered Decay" and "Impaled Existence".

MALEVOLENT CREATION's latest album, "Doomsday X", was released in the U.S. in July 2007 via Nuclear Blast Records and in Europe in August 2007 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded and engineered at Mercury Recording Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida by longtime friend and producer (and sometimes session member) Gus Rios, and is said to be the most diverse MALEVOLENT CREATION album recorded to date and "without a doubt their fastest!!" Mick Thomson, guitarist for SLIPKNOT, contributed a "ripping" guitar solo to the song "Deliver My Enemy".
