Manager: VAN HALEN Reunion Tour To Consist Of Four Legs, Nearly 90 Shows

VAN HALEN's much-anticipated reunion tour launched with impressive on-sales last week, easing the minds of some promoters who ponied up artist guarantees of $750,000 to $1 million, according to sources cited by Billboard magazine.

"I knew it would blow out," band manager Irving Azoff told Billboard. "VAN HALEN is rocking."

The VAN HALEN tour opens June 11 in Greensboro, N.C., at the Greensboro Coliseum and will ultimately consist of four legs of 22 shows each, according to Azoff.

Warner Bros., a unit of Time Warner Inc. which owns the rights to the band's back catalog (the band is currently unsigned),will release a second VAN HALEN hits compilation in June, featuring the new Sammy Hagar-sung track "It's About Time".
