MANIC MUSIC To Make Cancer Research Donation In CHUCK SCHULDINER's Name

March 28, 2005

Manic Music & Distribution (Candlelight's U.S. promotion/sales partner) will make its first donation to the American Cancer Society in the name of late DEATH/CONTROL DENIED mainman Chuck Schuldiner. The donation is from proceeds generated by direct sales made during the first quarter of 2005 of Schuldiner's recently released unauthorized two-CD collection, "Zero Tolerance".

"We realize this record has many emotions tied to it (thus why it took us much time to consider the U.S. release)," Manic said in a statement. "This is surely a raw recording and one that, should Chuck still be with us, would never see release, as he was a perfectionist to his craft.

"Our final decision to make the recordings available was based on many of these recordings serving as Chuck's muse. And while they are surely not completed recordings, they are the best and closest fans will have into his final material.

"We wish to thank everyone that has so far dedicated review space to 'Zero Tolerance' and hope that our planned quarterly contributions will help in creating additional awareness for continued cancer research and treatments."
