December 15, 2004Finnish "stoner rockers" MANNHAI have announced the addition of Norwegian singer Trond Skog (HONCHO) to the group's ranks. "We had a very fruitful session recently, as we rehearsed loads of old songs and composed some new stuff as well," the band said in a statement. Added Trond: "I personally think that the chemistry was extravagant and smooth like a well oiled V8, and that really inspired me!"
MANNHAI will be teaming up with Sweden's THE AWESOME MACHINE for a European tour in April 2005. This will be the first chance to witness for audiences to witness MANNHAI's performance outside Finland.
MANNHAI's third album, "The Exploder", was released on April 5 through Ranch Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Evil Under the Sun" was mixed at Soundtracks studio in Helsinki with producer Jürgen Hendlmeier (FLAMING SIDEBURNS, MUTANTS) and was mastered by Björn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Stockholm.
