MANNHAI To Enter Studio In November
October 19, 2005Finnish "stoner rockers" MANNHAI, whose current lineup includes singer Pasi Koskinen (ex-AMORPHIS, AJATTARA),will enter Jive Studios in Helsinki in early November to begin recording their next full-length album. The band have demoed 10 out of 20 new tracks and describe the material as "heavier and more guitar-driven" than that on the previous CD, 2004's "The Exploder". Songtititles set to appear on the new album include "Fuzzmaster", "Downers", "The Burn" and "Better Hate Yesterday".
Commented drummer Mikko "Junior" Pietinen: "Pasi has already penned couple new songs and has naturally written all the lyrics to the album. This time we'll concentrate more on vocal harmonies, which we've never actually done before. We (band members) will also take more part to the producing, because we as a band are the ones who knows the best how we should sound after all."
MANNHAI's third album, "The Exploder" was mixed at Soundtracks studio in Helsinki with producer Jürgen Hendlmeier (FLAMING SIDEBURNS, MUTANTS) and was mastered by Björn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Stockholm.
