MARDUK: 'Funeral Marches & Warsongs' DVD To Receive U.S. Release

June 6, 2005

Candlelight Records with Regain Records has confirmed August 23 as the Stateside re-issue date of MARDUK's "World Funeral". Also scheduled for release is the band's official DVD, "Funeral Marches & Warsongs". Both titles are currently unavailable in the U.S. and follow the ongoing success of the band's latest album, "Plague Angel".

Originally released in 2003, "World Funeral" (CD) plus "Funeral Marches & Warsongs" (DVD) captures the unholy essence that is, was and will always be MARDUK. Their DVD features a one-off reunion with Joakim Af Gravf and was professionally filmed on various festivals and locations in Europe. Adding to the band's already impressive worldwide career sales, both titles find their triumphant return to U.S. stores as the band eagerly anticipates their return to U.S. shores, tentatively planned for later this year.

Formed over a decade ago, Sweden's MARDUK found immediate worldwide acclaim for their innovative sound. The band currently features bassist Magnus Devo Andersson, vocalist Mortuus, drummer Fredrik Andersson and founder/guitarist Morgan Hakansson. MARDUK are featured on the cover of Metal Maniacs' August issue, currently on newstands nationwide.
