MARILYN MANSON To Record Duet With SHIRLEY MANSON

November 4, 2003

GARBAGE frontwoman Shirley Manson is in talks to record a duet with Marilyn Manson, according to Ananova.

The singers have been in negotiations to record the single, which they hope will be released early next year.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Shirley said: "There's been talk of me collaborating with Marilyn Manson for a duet because we both feel it would be a riot.

"I saw Marilyn at the weekend and we are still talking about it. We both know it will produce something special.''

Shirley feared she would never be able to sing again after discovering a cyst on her right vocal chord earlier this year.

Doctors misdiagnosed the problem for four months as she toured the world with GARBAGE, often losing her voice mid-concert in front of tens of thousands of fans.

The 37-year-old singer underwent vocal surgery in June and the band are now working on a new batch of songs.

The Edinburgh-born singer is due to present one of the MTV Awards in the Scottish capital on Thursday night (November 6).
