MARIONETTE Announces New Guitarist

September 17, 2008

Gothenburg, Sweden-based metal sextet MARIONETTE has announced the addition of guitarist Anton Modig to the group's ranks.

Commented bassist Mikael Medin: "Anton has come into the band focused and as dedicated as we could ask for! He is now almost completely up to speed with our material from 'Spite' [MARIONETTE's debut album] that we plan to continue playing live. Also, his presence has started to inspire us and get us into a writing mood, so we are really excited to start working with some new material and start making some killer songs for our next record. But for now, our number one priority is to continue to hit the road, and we plan to give 150% each night to everyone that comes out to rock out. See you in the moshpit!"

A complete list of upcoming gigs for MARIONETTE, including the tour poster for the Reiterfestspiele Tour with DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, can be found on the widget below.

"Spite" was released in Europe on April 28 via Listenable Records. The CD was recorded with producers Simon Exner and two-time Swedish Grammis award winner Åke Parmerud in Borås, Sweden. "Spite" was mixed and mastered by Christian Silver at Studio Mega (SONIC SYNDICATE, BY NIGHT) in Varberg, Sweden.
