MARKY RAMONE Signs Copies Of 'Ramones Raw' DVD: Photos Available

September 30, 2004

Former RAMONES drummer Marky Ramone signed copies of the newly released RAMONES career-retrospective DVD, entitled "Ramones Raw", on Wednesday (Sept. 29) at the Virgin Megastore (Times Square) in New York City. Check out pictures from Film Magic.

"Ramones Raw" was put together by Marky from his archive of hundreds of hours of behind-the-scenes material, as well as some rare concert footage and other material. Marky told Launch Radio Networks that if he hadn't been in the band, he'd be knocked out by the stuff on the DVD: "I would think it's just totally chaos, insane, wild — that DVD is just an onslaught of just total, positive, humorous insanity throughout the whole thing. (chuckles)"

RAMONES founder and guitarist Johnny Ramone died on Sept. 15 at age 55 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Lead singer Joey Ramone died in 2001 from lymphatic cancer, while original bassist Dee Dee Ramone died in 2002 from a drug overdose.
