MARTY FRIEDMAN In Pre-Production On New Project

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's web site has been updated with the following message:

"Marty hosts a brand new weekly TV program, 'Ougon American Pops', on Japan's WOWOW network. First broadcast is August 16. This show is to run for 10 weeks. The first show will feature a clip from the new 'Exhibit B – Live in Japan' DVD (August 22 release in Japan on Avex). He will also appear on the next 'Eigo de Shabera Night' on NHK as well as an upcoming episode of NTV's 'Uta Sta'.

"Marty is to guest on Japanese nationwide radio August 14, live broadcast from 0:15 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., Nippon Housou Network.

"Marty is currently in the studio in pre-production on a new project… More details to come..."

Shockwaves/HardRadio Podcast #17, featuring an interview with Marty Friedman, is now available for download at this location (20 MB). Friedman and host Bob Nalbandian discuss the good old days hanging out in Hollywood, Marty's early years with HAWAII and CACOPHONY, Friedman's years in MEGADETH, and Marty's current mega-success in Japan.

Marty's "Exhibit B - Live in Tokyo" DVD and "Exhibit A - Live in Europe" CD will be released simultaneously in Japan on August 22 by Avex. These feature different setlists, but with the same band members: Jeremy Colson (drums),Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK; guitar) and Chris Catero (bass).
