MARTY FRIEDMAN Schedules Japanese Appearances With ULI JON ROTH, Begins Work On LOVEFIXER CD

October 24, 2008

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman will perform with Uli Jon Roth (ex-SCORPIONS) on November 11 and November 12 at Tokyo's Nakano Sun Plaza. This is the same venue that the legendary "Tokyo Tapes" (SCORPIONS' classic album from 1978) was recorded. According to a posting on Friedman's web site, "It is no secret about Marty's deep respect of Roth, and both nights will certainly be a treat for the fans as well as the guitarists themselves."

Marty is currently in pre-production for the next album from his LOVEFIXER project, tentatively due in early 2009.

LOVEFIXER is said to be the first-ever American/Japanese collaboration in Japanese rock which features Marty on guitar and Shinichiro "Sin" Suzuki on vocals. The group made its live debut in Sapporo in August 2007.
