MASACRE Drummer VICTOR GALLEGO Passes Away
November 2, 2005Victor Gallego (photo),drummer of the Colombian death metal band MASACRE, passed away on October 30.
Gallego joined MASACRE in 1992 and recorded three full-length CDs with the group, including their most recent release, "Total Death", which came out in 2004. The follow-up to 2001's "Muerte Verdadera Muerte", "Total Death" was recorded at Sirio Studio in Bogota, Colombia in March-April 2003 and was mixed and mastered by Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL) at Mana Recording Studios in Tampa, Florida in July-August 2003. Gallego reportedly studied history before playing in MASACRE.
