MASSIVE ASSAULT Parts Ways With Drummer, Seeks Replacement
December 31, 2006Dutch old-school death metallers MASSIVE ASSAULT have parted ways with drummer Gideon.
"Although Gideon will help out the band with some future shows, we are of course looking for a worthy replacement," the band writes on its web site. "Anyone who thinks he/she is capable of replacing him, contact us at hashkoning at hotmail dot com and we'll fill you in on the details."
MASSIVE ASSAULT was formed by ex-ABSORBED guitarist Ferdy Dolserum in October 2002, according to Rockdetector.com. Demos in 2003 were recorded with Carl on vocals, Dolserum handling both guitar and bass with Rob on drums. The latter would be replaced by Gideon. With ABSORBED ceasing activity in mid-2003 the band would be joined by Dolserum's former comrade Jeroen Vrielink (CEREBRAL TUMOR). Singer Scott exited in February 2005. Installing Jos on vocals, Crash Landing Records issued the "Conflict" EP in 2006
