MASTERPLAN Drummer Gives Props To Brazil's EYES OF SHIVA

July 6, 2006

MASTERPLAN drummer Uli Kusch recently sent a message of support to the Brazilian progessive power metal band EYES OF SHIVA. The former HELLOWEEN drummer had the opportunity to listen to several songs on EYES OF SHIVA's latest album, "Deep", and said he was truly impressed by their musicianship.

"EYES OF SHIVA has good dynamics and is strong from beginning to the end," said Kusch. Speaking specifically about "Kamisama" (the tribute song to Brazilian soccer legend Zico),Kusch stated, "As dramatic as sport can be, the song introduction has the right feel. A massive modern riff with massive percussive drums. After two times listening I can't get the more traditional sounding, chorus out of my head. Andre's (Matos, SHAAMAN) voice perfectly link the modern approach of the song with traditional melodies."

"Kamisama" as well as three other songs from "Deep""Leave Me Alone", "Blowing Off Steam", and "Another Side" — can be heard on EYES OF SHIVA's official MySpace page at this location.
