November 20, 2007MetalKult.com has posted the first part of its eight-part video feature documenting progressive metallers MASTODON's summer 2007 European tour, supporting their last release, "Blood Mountain".
Beginning in Lisbon, Portugal, on June 28, 2007, and ending on July 8 at London's Wembley Stadium, MetalKult editor Jimmy Hubbard hit the road with MASTODON as they played before audiences ranging from 2,000 to 70,000 people across across Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Greece, Denmark and Finland.
This eight-part series documents MASTODON's powerful live performances opening for legendary acts like METALLICA, SLAYER, and MESHUGGAH, and also captures the revelry that ensued when this band — Troy Sanders (bass/vocals),Bill Kelliher (guitar),Brent Hinds (guitar) and Brann Dailor (drums) — hit the ancient cities of Europe with its friends and tour mates.
The first installment of MetalKult's weekly series takes place at MASTODON's performance at the Lisbon Super Bock Super Rock Festival, the band's debut opening for METALLICA.
