MASTODON To Play New Year's Eve Show In Atlanta

December 14, 2005

MASTODON will play a very special New Year's Eve show in their hometown of Atlanta at The Masquerade. Support at the gig will come from ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER, GONZALEZ and CINJED. Tickets and more information can be found at www.masq.com.

MASTODON are tentatively planning on entering the studio in February with longtime producer Matt Bayles to begin recording the follow-up to "Leviathan", tentatively due late summer 2006 via Warner Bros. While it's too early to know exactly what the band's next album will sound like, the band's drummer, Brann Dailor, told Revolver magazine that it will likely be more progressive and thrashier. "We've been listening to a lot of newer KING CRIMSON and getting off on that," he explained. "But also, we toured with SLAYER and listened to them every night for three months, and that's gotta have some sort of effect."
