June 8, 2010GLOBAL SOUND LODGE, the "new musical consciousness" formed by VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum and American guitarist, songwriter and producer Lanny Cordola (GIUFFRIA, HOUSE OF LORDS, MAGDALLAN),will perform its first track — "Hands Together" — on Thursday, June 10 at Myhouse in Hollywood, California. Sorum says, "CNN is following friend Aaron Cohen and GLOBAL SOUND LODGE's Lanny Cordola and myself.
"We will play this benefit gig for Abolishslavery.org and then head down to Haiti June 18th to bring guitars to kids that have been rescued from sex slavery by Aaron Cohen and his team.
"Ovation guitars have so generously given GSL 10 guitars for the trip. Dunlop has donated picks.
"Music brings such joy to people. Hopefully this will help put some smiles back on these children's faces.
"GLOBAL SOUND LODGE's mission is just that — peace and harmony through music."
