MATT SORUM To Perform With STEVIE SALAS In Toronto

November 27, 2008

VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum will perform with guitarist Stevie Salas this Saturday, November 29 at the Sound Academy in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The three-piece band will be rounded out by Jara Slapbak on bass. According to Salas, "We will also do a song Friday night [November 28] at the Rogers Toronto Blue Jays Stadium for the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards (where Salas is up for the Best International Album award for his 'Be What It Is' effort)." The guitarist added, "I have recorded with Matt plenty of times, but Matt gettin' funky on songs like 'Born To Mack' and 'Blind' is something to see and hear! He is awesome, and as always, Jara in on point."

Salas has previously played with George Clinton and Mick Jagger, among others.
