MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN Weighs In On JUSTIN BIEBER's TOOL Fandom: 'Bummer'

July 12, 2019

TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan has responded to a news report that Justin Bieber has seemingly outed himself to be a fan of his band.

On Thursday (July 11),Bieber took to his Instagram account to post some of the lyrics to TOOL's "10,000 Days" track "The Pot". He then asked his followers if they knew which song the lyrics were from. "Don't look it up please I'm curious if any of you know it," he wrote.

As it turns out, Bieber's appreciation for TOOL's music doesn't appear to be mutual. A short time after Consequence Of Sound tweeted out a link to a story headlined "It's official: Justin Bieber is a Tool fan", Keenan responded, writing "#bummer".

TOOL's long-awaited new album is scheduled for release on August 30. The band has been playing two new songs, "Descending" and "Invincible", at its recent shows.
