MEGADETH Bassist JAMES MACDONOUGH Checks In From GIGANTOUR

July 27, 2005

MEGADETH bassist James MacDonough has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the Gigantour web site:

"GiganWOW!!!!

"Well, let's just say this huge rollercoaster is climbing a very high peek, with all the intensity growing day by day. I honestly didn't know how all this was going to come together, tons of crew running around all over the place. All trying to keep changeovers, loading of semis, rigs up and running, on a very tight schedule. It's amazing to watch the sincerity that all the bands on this tour show, it's a very nice camaraderie, and everyone I've talked to band and crew alike has been cool. Everyone seems to have the same positive outlook and that's pretty rare, especially given the numbers.

"The shows have been great, with last nights, Irvine show being the biggest so far. Tomorrow evening is Sacramento. We do three different signings a day and I must say it's been very nice meeting all of you. It's also a great way to see all the new merchandise, and I'm quite impressed with the ideas Dave [Mustaine] came up with. I need a few of them for myself, definitly the 'Killing Is My Business' shirt. Just like the old jerseys they used to sell in the Eighties.

"With all this said, we all can't wait to ROCK your town so stay tuned for more live chats, new pics and everything else the General suprises us with. Be safe!"
