December 12, 2010

Video footage of MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson visiting former AC/DC singer Bon Scott's grave in Australia can be viewed below.

Scott was just 33 when he was found dead in February 1980 from acute alcohol poisoning after a night out in London.

He was later buried at Fremantle Cemetery.

MEGADETH is headlining six festival shows in New Zealand and Australia during December 10-19 as part of "No Sleep Til", a touring festival that delivers a mix of the best international and local acts from the legendary to the up-and-comers.

MEGADETH's "Rust In Peace Live" CD — which captures the final night of the band's historic month-long "Rust In Peace" 20th anniversary tour — sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 161 on The Billboard 200 chart. Meanwhile, the DVD version of "Rust In Peace Live" shifted around 2,600 units to land at No. 3 on the Top Music Videos chart.
