MEGADETH Guitarist To Finish Mixing New EIDOLON Album This Week

January 16, 2006

MEGADETH/EIDOLON guitarist Glen Drover has posted the following message on the EIDOLON web site:

"A little update to let you know where we now stand with the completion of [the new EIDOLON album] 'The Parallel Otherworld'...

"We started mixing on the 4th of this month with all things looking very good until the most scary thing imaginable happened, which was my main computer hard drive crashing! You want to talk about major stress, heartache, etc., etc.... man, it was just horrible. of course we didn't lose anything, as I have all hard-copy backups (DVD audio) but regardless, we were at a standstill for two days, while we were trying to rectify the problem ourselves before I had an engineer from Metalworks (thanks to Gil Moore helping us!) to fix and 'reformat.' Format really is an ugly word.

"Anyway, the good news is that we now have 8 out of 10 songs mixed and I will have the rest of the album complete (mixed and mastered) by the end of this coming week! Another good thing about the whole experience and having gone through all of that hell is that it really helped me to learn so many technical things in ProTools, which I'm sure I will never forget!"

As previously reported, "The Parallel Otherworld" will include guest appearances by MERCYFUL FATE/FORCE OF EVIL's Hank Shermann and Michael Denner (on a cover of the MERCYFUL FATE classic "The Oath"),Michael Romeo (SYMPHONY X),ex-FATES WARNING guitarist Frank Aresti, Kim Mitchell and Robert MacDonald.

"The Parallel Otherworld" is scheduled for release in the spring on Escapi Records.
