MEGADETH: 'Holy Wars' In Nottingham

February 19, 2008

MEGADETH's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"During last night's performance (February 18) in Nottingham, UK, [MEGADETH mainman] Dave Mustaine shared a special story with the fans. Dave described to the crowd how he came about writing 'Holy Wars' in the dressing room of the same Rock City venue in Nottingham after playing the night before in Ireland so many years ago. Also how he knew Nick Menza (drum tech for Chuck Behler) was going to be the next MEGADETH drummer.

MEGADETH's February 4, 2008 concert in Helsinki, Finland marked the band's live debut with new guitarist Chris Broderick (ex-JAG PANZER, NEVERMORE).

The third installment of the U.S. Gigantour — the acclaimed traveling heavy music festival launched in 2005 by Mustaine — will launch April 12 in Denver, CO with headliner MEGADETH, Swedish metal band IN FLAMES, Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM, Arizona's modern extreme JOB FOR A COWBOY and Oakland, CA heavy power trio HIGH ON FIRE all confirmed. The 29-date trek will criss-cross North America and wraps May 22 in Phoenix, AZ.
