MEGADETH Kicks Off European Tour; Setlist Revealed

MEGADETH made its live debut with new guitarist Chris Broderick (ex-JAG PANZER, NEVERMORE) earlier tonight (Monday, February 4) at the Ice Hall in Helsinki, Finland. The group's setlist was as follows:

Mustaine posted the following message on the group's web site earlier today prior to the Helsinki show:

"We play our first show tonight and we are ready. I am super-excited and Chris [Broderick, new MEGADETH guitarist] is such a great addition to MEGADETH. Glen [Drover, former MEGADETH guitarist] said [Chris] could do the job, but he never said how great Chris was. I can't wait for everyone to see us now, as I feel we are playing our best ever! And we are for sure now going to go back into the back catalogue as well as writing new stuff slowly but surely for the next record for MEGADETH."

The third installment of the U.S. Gigantour — the acclaimed traveling heavy music festival launched in 2005 by Mustaine — will launch April 12 in Denver, CO with headliner MEGADETH, Swedish metal band IN FLAMES, Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM, Arizona's modern extreme JOB FOR A COWBOY and Oakland, CA heavy power trio HIGH ON FIRE all confirmed. The 29-date trek will criss-cross North America and wraps May 22 in Phoenix, AZ.
