MEGADETH: Leave A Message For DAVE MUSTAINE

August 8, 2007

MEGADETH's web site has been updated with the following message:

"Call Dave [Mustaine] at 619-717-2000 and leave him a message! Leave a voice mail or text message and you may just get a call or text back from Dave Mustaine himself. Here is your chance for even more interaction with your favorite band. Check out other voice messages left by fans here. Dave will leave new messages for only people who are registered at saynow.com. Fans with no profile attached may not get a call back. So far, this has created such a great buzz amongst the fans. Read more of what they have to say here."

Dave Mustaine took part in a question-and-answer session with the Dutch branch of Roadrunner Records in late June at the Hellfest in Clisson, France. Watch the seven-minute video clip at this location.

According to Amazon.com, EMI will release a new MEGADETH box set, entitled "Warchest", on October 15, 2007. The set, which will apparently be available in North America as an import only, will contain four CDs and one DVD. The exact contents of the box set are expected to be revealed soon.

MEGADETH's U.S. tour this fall kicks off in Anchorage, Alaska on September 4, taking the band through 24 U.S. cites ending up in Norfolk Virginia on October 6. Support on the dates will come from IN THIS MOMENT and THE CONFESSION.

MEGADETH's latest CD, "United Abominations", has sold around 120,000 copies in the United States since its May 15 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
