MEGADETH Mainman Is 'Chuffed' By New Album's Chart Success

May 25, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"I just received and read all of the debut chart positions [for the new MEGADETH album, 'United Abominations'] around the world and I am chuffed! This is super-awesome, or as my Brazilian Droogs like to say, 'awesome-broso!' (or something like that.)

"It looks like the relatively short world tour is going to be a little longer than we thought, and it looks like a lot of cities that we have never been to, missed for some time, or just recently passed over will be added to our current list of stop-n-mosh visits!

"Just so you know you're not the only one that can't wait, I end up pacing back and forth most of the day too, thinking about playing again for you, and I hope that we will get to meet and say thanks to you in person. What a great way to start this record off."

MEGADETH will be ManiaTV!'s "Artist of the Day" on Thursday, May 31. The eight-minute interview feature will run at 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. EST, with "A Tout Le Monde" scheduled to be shown at 8:00 a.m., noon and 6:00 p.m. EST. The interview will run again at 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. EST on the following Saturday and Sunday.
