MEGADETH Mainman: 'These Have Been The Best Tours Of My Career'

September 3, 2005

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"There are ten days left until we are back in our homes reflecting on what a great first year Gigantour has been. And while we will say goodbye soon to our friends in DREAM THEATER, and had to say a premature goodbye to our friends in THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, we have had the times of our lives (yes, me too).

"It's hard to believe that in a little more than a month, I will be preparing for the grand finale in South America, and how everything I have told the boys will be revealed once they seen the last of the continents that MEGADETH has had the privelege to play.

"I know when we started this record and campaign that a lot of people were wondering what I was up to. Well, I think most have had the opportunity to see, and I thank you for believing in me.

"[Friday night, Sept. 2] is going to perhaps be the biggest show of the Drovers' [drummer Shawn and guitarist Glen] career since they both are originally from Montreal and we are recording live here tonight for the [Gigantour] DVD. We are also recording in Vancouver so we can add the mighty ANTHRAX too. I really look forward to seeing Scott [Ian] and the boys next week.

"In closing, these have been the best tours of my career, whether in the U.S. the first time or this time, the U.K. and Europe the first time or the second, Australia or Japan, or the upcoming S.A. shows. I have had the times of my life."
